Events
The film festival "Cinema at the Border" is an annual event that takes place both in Polish and Czech part of Cieszyn in April. The idea came from Solidarity Association activists from Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia, who try to join Polish, Czech, Slovakia citizens together from years through cultural events. Among the organizers are SPCzS, "Piast" Cinema, and Kulturni a spolecenske stredisko "Strelnice" in Czech Cieszyn.
The program contains a retrospect of the outputs of famous film directors as well as film "news" - films that have gained critics appreciation and were the most often seen films in the previous year. Most of the films have never been shown in Poland. Polish and Czech artists' concerts are also very popular among the public as well as debates.
